Leeds United are targeting Daichi Kamada and Eintracht Frankfurt may be replacing him with former Germany star Mario Gotze.
The Whites are chasing more new signings having already brought in four new faces this summer.
Deals for Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi are in whilst Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra are set to join.
An expected exit for Raphinha would give Leeds more money to play with, and another playmaker could yet end up arriving at Elland Road.
Leeds United are targeting Daichi Kamada
Reports from Sport1 in Germany have claimed that Leeds are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt ace Kamada this summer.
Kamada is out of contract in 2023 and Frankfurt may be ready to sell this summer before he leaves for absolutely nothing in a year.
Bild have now added more about Kamada, claiming that Frankfurt’s signing of Mario Gotze may push Kamada out of the club.
Gotze has joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven and he is likely to replace Kamada in Oliver Glasner’s side.
That is just another hint that Kamada’s future lies away from Frankfurt, playing right into Leeds’ hands.

It’s added that Kamada can imagine leaving Frankfurt this summer and is hoping for a move away.
Teams in England, Italy and Spain are understood to be interested in the Japanese international, and all signs point towards a move.
Kamada, 25, notched nine goals and four assists last season and helped Frankfurt win the Europa League.
Almost exclusively a number 10, Kamada would give Leeds another threat in the final third.
Yet with Aaronson signed and Rodrigo still on board, it’s hard to see Leeds going to sign another attacking midfielder as things stand.
Maybe Kamada is a name to keep a close eye on if Rodrigo leaves, but a move elsewhere seems more likely right now as Frankfurt prepare to sell.
