Junior Firpo has been handed Leeds United’s number 3 shirt after finalising his move to Elland Road.
Firpo has now completed his move to Leeds, signing a four-year deal whilst leaving Barcelona in the process.
Reports from Mundo Deportivo claim that Leeds have paid €15million (£13million) to sign Firpo from the Catalan giants.
The left back arrived in England over the last 48 hours, and Firpo has now been presented as a Leeds player after completing his medical.
Ezgjan Alioski’s exit from Leeds was confirmed on Monday, and Leeds have wasted no time in finding his replacement by signing Firpo.
The number 3
The last player to wear number 3 for Leeds was Barry Douglas, whose contract at Elland Road expired last week.
He has been let go on a free transfer after spending last season on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

Before Douglas, fellow left back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson wore the number 3 for Leeds, but endured a difficult time with the Whites.
Sol Bamba had a stint with the shirt before that, whilst the likes of Adam Drury, Patrick Kisnorbo, Paul Huntington and Stephen Crainey have also worn the shirt, but the real success story was Ian Harte.
The Irishman has been Leeds’ best number 3 in recent memory, and Firpo would no doubt love to match his success with his move to Elland Road now done.
