Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has criticised Liverpool and Manchester United for their Project Big Picture proposal, as quoted in The Times.
As reported by The Guardian, Premier League giants Liverpool and United recently made a proposal to change English football.
The proposal included a £250 million bailout for the EFL and reducing teams in the Premier League from 20 to 18.
“Most significantly of all, perhaps, Project Big Picture proposes that the nine longest serving Premier League teams (the so-called big six of Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, as well as Everton, West Ham and Southampton) would be given preferential votes that would mean just six of them would need to agree in order to approve any change in the rules or, alternatively, veto them,” stated The Guardian.
The Premier League clubs have turned down the proposal, as reported by BBC Sport.
Leeds chairman Radrizzani has strong words for both Liverpool and United and has criticised them.

Radrizzani told The Times: “I believe what happened is really a disgrace, and for many reasons. I would like to remind the clubs that tried to do this via the back door and in a non-transparent way that the value of their clubs has grown significantly, perhaps four or five times their investment, since they bought thanks to the fantastic job of the Premier League executive and also thanks to the union of the clubs working together.
“The success of the Premier League is driven by this unity and the success of the clubs in working together, so if this is attacked and someone is trying to dismantle it we need to strongly defend it. If some clubs are not happy we should all discuss it and try to find why in a legitimate and transparent way.”
On-pitch matters
Leeds are playing in the Premier League this season for the first time since 2004, and the Whites are doing quite well at the moment.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side have given Liverpool a run for their money and have held Manchester City to a draw already this season.
The West Yorkshire club are eighth in the league table at the moment with seven points from four matches.
Leeds will return to action on Monday evening when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road in the Premier League.
