Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa added Kiko Casilla to his squad at Elland Road in January.

Jack Butland’s £30 million price-tag proves just how well Leeds United did when bringing in Kiko Casilla on a free transfer.
Leeds brought in Casilla from Real Madrid in January without paying a fee and in doing so they secured the services of one of the finest goalkeepers in the Championship.
The transfer move may well be one of the finest completed by Victor Orta in his time at Elland Road.
And Stoke City’s valuation of Butland shows just how well Leeds did to snap up a goalkeeper of Casilla’s quality without paying any money.

Of course, Butland is six years younger than Casilla, which adds to his value.
But the difference in quality between the pair is certainly not a £30 million one.
And Leeds can feel very satisfied with the business they did for Butland, considering the valuation of other Championship goalkeepers of similar class.
