Leeds United are set to sign Brenden Aaronson with Red Bull Salzburg only accepting a deal because the playmaker is so desperate to make the move.
Leeds secured their Premier League status on Sunday afternoon by beating Brentford 2-1 in West London.
After a dramatic and often chaotic push for survival, Leeds are finally safe and can plan for next season.
It’s abundantly clear that Leeds must now bolster their squad; their depth just wasn’t good enough and the squad looked stretched on many occasions.
Within hours of the Premier League season ending, it looks like Leeds already have their first signing close to completion in Aaronson.

MLS Soccer report that Leeds are finalising a deal worth around $30million (£24million) to sign Aaronson this summer.
It’s stated that a deal has actually been in place for a while now but it was dependent on Leeds staying in the Premier League.
With Leeds now confirmed as safe, the deal will be done and Aaronson will become Leeds’ first summer signing.
If Leeds had gone down, it’s stated that there was no guarantee that Salzburg would have sold Aaronson at all.
Salzburg weren’t looking to sell but Aaronson was so keen to join Leeds that they sanctioned the deal.

It’s also noted that the fee Leeds are paying would have been difficult for other clubs to match.
Aaronson was strongly linked with Leeds in January but they couldn’t convince Salzburg to sell.
Leeds then appointed Jesse Marsch as Marcelo Bielsa’s replacement, and American coach who will have been very familiar with his compatriot.
Aaronson, 21, has racked up six goals and 10 assists this season and has already been hailed as a ‘great player’ by Leeds boss Marsch.
Backed for a huge future, Aaronson is absolutely the kind of signal of intent Leeds need after a frustrating season.
