Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has not been able to feature on Thomas Christiansen’s side’s pre-season tour of Austria.
Klich has picked up an injury early on his Leeds career, and it is taking the Polish international longer than expected to come back to full fitness.
Christiansen was expected to have a chance to assess Klich’s quality during Leeds’ pre-season tour of Austria.

However, the midfielder failed to recover in time to feature in any of Leeds’ pre-season friendlies.
And Christiansen has admitted that he is refusing to take any risks over Klich’s fitness.
He said: “I hope [Klich will be back in training]. It has been a long time without him. I expected that he would have made a few days with us in Austria, but it’s important that we don’t take a risk.”
Christiansen’s only other injury worry at this moment in time in Pontus Jansson, but the centre-back is expected to return in the near future.
Klich has done some pre-season training so far, but it has been individual sessions to keep himself sharp.
Leeds’ pre-season schedule is set to step up in the coming weeks, as the new Championship season draws closer.
The Whites get their competitive campaign under way with a match against Bolton Wanderers at the Macron Stadium.
