Leeds United are set to lose Andy Lonergan to Sunderland today.

Lonergan is set to move to join Sunderland, with the experienced goalkeeper chasing first-team football.
Felix Wiedwald has established himself as Leeds’ number one goalkeeper this season, with Lonergan generally being kept on the substitutes’ bench.

Leeds could have moved to sign a new stopper, but Christiansen suggests that he will just call up a youngster.
“I believe the young goalkeepers we have in the academy can make the same place as he did,” Christiansen said. “We still have the loan emergency (special dispensation from the Football League) in case something happens.”
Christiansen’s words are good news for Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Kamil Miazek, who could now be called into Leeds’ first-team.

Peacock-Farrell looks likely to become Leeds’ second choice, as he has more first-team experience.
The youngster was handed his Leeds debut two seasons ago, while Steve Evans was in charge, and impressed in the Championship at that time.
