Jack Clarke is yet to make his Leeds United senior debut, but Thomas Christiansen has seen potential in the youngster.
Leeds faced Leicester last back in October, and they were beaten 3-1 by the Premier League side.
But Christiansen had an idea to mark the occasion by giving Clarke his first taste of senior action.
In the end, it seemed that Christiansen decided to go with his more senior options.
But Clarke could come into Leeds’ first-team before the end of the season, if Christiansen’s quotes at his latest press conference are anything to go by.
“It’s a player who I have had up with the first team for training,” the Leeds boss said.
“I wanted to have him in the squad for the cup game at Leicester. But we preferred to wait.
“He is a very interesting player that we can build up. I will not exclude him.”
Clarke has been a prolific scorer at youth level for the Whites, and is regarded as a hot prospect.
The youngster has recently signed a new deal at Elland Road, which ensures that he cannot be poached by any higher placed team on the cheap.
Clarke is competing with the likes of Pierre Michel Lasogga, Kemar Roofe and Caleb Ekuban for a starting place up-front in Leeds’ senior side.
