Leeds United went down 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen has played down the significance of his side’s away form over the past couple of weeks, speaking to LUTV.
The Whites went down 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday in a defeat which leaves them fifth in the Championship.
That setback followed a 3-1 defeat at Cardiff City and a 1-0 reverse at Millwall – their first defeat of the season – a couple of weeks ago and Leeds are beginning to look like a side who dislike away days at the moment.

However, Christiansen was quick to point out that although United have lost their last three games, they did so against good teams and reminded one journalist that the Owls reached the Championship playoffs last season.
The 44-year-old also noted that Leeds are working with an inferior budget to their Yorkshire rivals, claiming that Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan would be the highest-paid figure in his dressing room if he was at Elland Road.

When asked if Leeds’ away form is a cause for concern, Christiansen said on LUTV: “We have faced very good teams. Sheffield Wednesday were in the playoff last year and they have – and I don’t like to use this word – the budget.
“A player like Bannan would be the best-paid player in our team by far. We have to face that. We gave too much space. We were defending back instead of defending up, which makes you lose the second balls
“We spoke about Bannan as being a key player we had to stop, but we were not able to do that.”
