Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford tucked away two goals as Marcelo Bielsa’s men beat Preston North End.

Bamford has faced fierce criticism at Leeds, after a string of below-par performances.
However, he hit back at his critics last night, by scoring both goals in Leeds’ 2-0 win over Preston North End.
Bamford lashed home a long range shot and then scored a header to provide Leeds with the three points.
And Bielsa was happy to see his most expensive summer signing on the scoresheet again.
“He adapted very well to one difficult game. He didn’t play well against Millwall,” he said.
“Against Birmingham he increased his performance. Birmingham he had three chances. This is positive for strikers. he improved his previous performance today in the game with two goals and a lot of work.”

Even though Bielsa felt Bamford improved against Birmingham, Leeds fans were far from impressed with their number nine, when he missed two glorious opportunities, as the Whites slipped to defeat at St. Andrews.
All has been forgiven now though, as Bamford’s brace could be huge.
Leeds are back in the top two after winning last night, ahead of Sheffield United’s match this evening against Birmingham.
