Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has told Leeds Live that Pontus Jansson won’t play against Swansea City tomorrow, due to injury.

Jansson hurt his back at the weekend, which means he won’t be fit enough to feature tomorrow.

The Swedish defender could also be ruled out for the weekend, as Leeds assess the severity of his injury.

Bielsa said: “Jansson will not play tomorrow. He felt something in his back yesterday. This problem does not allow him to play tomorrow. We’ll see about Saturday.”

Jansson has featured for just one minute of Leeds’ league campaign so far, after travelling back from the World Cup.

Bielsa has favoured picking players who had the whole of pre-season to get used to his new style.

Leeds have made a wonderful start to the new campaign, winning their first four games on the spin.

The Whites have become the favourites to win the Championship, but getting past Swansea City could be a test.
