Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell should have done better with Wigan Athletic’s first goal.

Marcelo Bielsa’s comments to Leeds Live may be of some concern to Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

Leeds won 2-1 against Wigan Athletic yesterday, and their performance in the contest was impressive.

The Whites largely dominated the match, but they still had to come from behind to win.

Leeds fell behind early on, when Reece James curled in a free-kick, and Bielsa was not happy that his side went behind so cheaply.

“We should not have conceded the first goal, that’s the problem,” Bielsa said.

“The fact we scored immediately after neutralised the effects of conceding so quickly though.”

Bielsa believing that the goal was avoidable may be bad news for Peacock-Farrell, as there was a feeling he should have done better.

The young goalkeeper was slow to get across, as James curled the ball into the bottom corner.

Peacock-Farrell has been Leeds’ number one throughout the campaign so far, but there is some concerns emerging over his more recent performances.

If Bielsa is to drop Peacock-Farrell then Jamal Blackman could come in and replace him.
