The Leeds head coach was down to earth as ever after another Championship win.
Garry Monk manager of Leeds United
Leeds United picked up another three points in the Championship this afternoon – as they defeated Burton Albion 2-0 at Elland Road.
The result was impressive from Leeds as they failed to play their best football in the game but still came away with maximum points from the game.
Garry Monk is now clearly getting his message across at Leeds, after a difficult start to life at the club after his summer arrival.
Leeds manager Garry Monk
The young boss has Leeds playing some of their most secure football in a long time and there is muted optimism of a potential promotion tilt.
Monk himself was clearly delighted with the result. The Leeds United boss is a manager who is happy to take to Twitter and after today’s game he sent out this tweet to fans:
Monk once again thanked his passionate fans for their support at Elland Road and highlighted his constant philosophy to take each game as it comes.
But with Leeds United ninth in the Championship, just one point off the play-offs and in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, it will be difficult for Leeds fans not to start looking too far ahead.
