Leeds United boss Garry Monk has kept his cards close to his chest, when asked whether Eunan O’Kane could come into his starting line-up for the final three matches of the regular season by BBC Radio Leeds.

Leeds’ defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend, has left Monk’s side in danger of missing out on a play off spot.

The Whites looked to be secure inside the top six places, but a poor run of form has seen them slip down to seventh place.

There have been calls for Monk to recall O’Kane for a number of weeks now, but when asked whether the Republic of Ireland international would come back into his plans, the former Swansea boss was very coy.

He said: “I think it’s a case of I’ll have a good look at it, and give us an opportunity on the pitch.

“It’s to select a team that is going to force ourselves upon it and go on the hunt. When you’re on the hunt, you can be a dangerous animal and we have to be that.”

Liam Bridcutt and Kalvin Phillips were selected over O’Kane in Leeds’ last match against Wolves.

The pair failed to impose themselves on the game though, as the Whites slipped to a highly disappointing defeat.

O’Kane has not started a match for Leeds since back at the start of March, and he has not even featured in any of the Whites’ last five matches.

Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.
