Leeds head coach says club are wary of making a mistake at this late stage of the transfer window.
Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has confirmed the club are continuing to look at signing more players.
Yet speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post he admits they are trying to be cautious as the season nears, and are determined not to make a mistake.
The club appear to have recruited smartly this summer, although with several additions unproven in English football it is somewhat of a projection as to how they will settle in at Leeds – but early signs in pre-season bode well.
Christiansen explained that Leeds’ recruitment is far from over, and they are determined to get it right.

Quizzed over signing another defender he said: “We’re working on that, we are looking at it, but in a calm way.
“The recruitment has been good so far and I don’t want us to start making mistakes. The club are calm.
“We’re trying to sign the best players possible and when you let the pressure come onto you or if you feel obligated to make signings, that’s when you make mistakes. But I think we are starting to see already that the recruitment has been good.”

The good news is Leeds have one new defender through the door, adding Matthew Pennington on loan from Everton this week.
That relieves the pressure on the recruitment team a little, but time is ticking down before the season begins.
Last season of course it must be remembered that star man Pontus Jansson was only signed after the Championship campaign began, so there will still be good signings out there, but it is getting to the stage where the club have to be very selective.
A defender is a priority but an extra winger and even an experienced striker would not go amiss, along with a left-back if the club really feel greedy.
