Leeds United want Azzedine Ounahi and have allegedly tabled an offer to sign the Angers midfielder after his stunning World Cup campaign.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim that Leeds have made an official bid for Ounahi in recent days.
Leeds are seemingly looking to splash the cash this month in a quest to secure their Premier League status once again.
The Whites have already snapped up Red Bull Salzburg defender Maximilian Wober, reuniting him with his former boss Jesse Marsch.
Foot Mercato’s report not only covers what would be an expensive deal for Angers midfielder Ounahi, but also a bid for Hoffenheim striker Georginio Rutter.
It’s stated that Leeds have already agreed terms with Rutter, and are now trying to follow up an imminent deal for the French striker by landing Ounahi.

Leeds will surely face major battle for Azzedine Ounahi
Ounahi was pretty much unknown outside of France and Morocco this time two months ago.
The 22-year-old midfielder – formerly of Strasbourg – announced himself on the world stage by excelling at the World Cup in Qatar.
Ounahi was outstanding in Morocco’s midfield as they reached the semi-finals against all odds.
As quoted by Goal, Jose Mourinho hailed Ounahi as ‘incredible’ in the Morocco midfield with the Roma boss blown away.
Ounahi offered so much energy as well as dribbling ability on the ball, making a huge impact from midfield.
That’s the kind of quality Leeds are seeking but winning the race for Ounahi won’t be easy.
La Repubblica claimed just days ago that Tottenham have made contact to try and sign Ounahi.
90Min even claim that the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Leicester, Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham, Wolves and Atalanta are also interested.
That’s a crowded race for Ounahi but Leeds making a bid means they seemingly have real hope of coming out on top.
