Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the news that the match against Aston Villa at Elland Road has been postponed.

Leeds United v Aston Villa called off

As reported by The Athletic this afternoon, Leeds and Aston Villa will not face each other at Elland Road in the Premier League this week.

The game was due to be held on Tuesday.

Journalist Phil Hay has reported in The Athletic that the match has been postponed due to ‘an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak’ at Leeds.

Leeds have also made a statement on their official website, and Villa have stated it too.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were due to play Liverpool on Boxing Day, but that particular Premier League game was also postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases in the Leeds squad.

And now the match against Villa has been called off.

Leeds United fans react

Interestingly, Leeds fans are happy with the news that the team will not face Aston Villa at Elland Road on Tuesday.

Well, some of them anyway.
