Leeds United bounced back from their midweek loss at Bristol City by beating Barnsley at the weekend.
The Whites lost 1-0 in midweek, but won 2-1 at Elland Road this weekend, showing their team spirit.
Assistant boss Pep Clotet was delighted with the victory, and sent a succinct message after the win, containing just one word: Competitiveness.
The choice of word shows the key message Clotet and head coach Garry Monk are instilling into their side. They want to team to compete in every game this season, win or lose, erasing any performances like the 3-0 away loss to QPR on the opening day of the season.
After a stuttering start which saw Leeds slump as low as 21st out of 24 teams, the Whites have climbed into 11th place in the Championship, just four points off a play-off spot.

Despite Clotet’s demand for his side to compete, whoscored.com’s statistics show Leeds rank 15th in the division when it comes to making tackles, and 17th in terms of shots per game.
If the side can work on improving these two key areas, then it could be the difference between ascending to the play-offs, and another mid-table finish.
