Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo and it now sounds like Paris Saint-Germain are willing to sell the striker this summer.

The Whites have enjoyed a busy start to the window with Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca already arriving.

It isn’t all good news for Leeds though as Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha look set to leave Elland Road this summer.

Leeds will need to find quality replacements but other positions need reinforcing anyway, including up front.

Patrick Bamford is a quality striker but his injury record last season has left Leeds needing another regular goalscorer.

Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo

A number of strikers have been linked with Leeds but the strongest rumour now appears to surround Paris Saint-Germain attacker Arnaud Kalimuendo.

The Independent reported earlier this month that Leeds have tabled a cash offer worth £17million for Kalimuendo.

There has been little reported about Kalimuendo since then, with Leeds’ move for the striker seemingly not advancing yet.

PSG now have a new sporting director with Luis Campos now on board in an exciting move after his heroics at Monaco and Lille.

Campos has some tough decisions to make and it now seems that he will make a reluctant call on Kalimuendo.

Le Parisien report that Kalimuendo could be sacrificed to raise funds for PSG’s incoming business this summer.

Campos is understood to be a fan of Kalimuendo but the striker is seen as a fairly easy way to bring in money, as noted by Culture PSG.

Big earners like Mauro Icardi and Julian Draxler are harder to shift but Kalimuendo has a very active market with many teams looking to sign him.

Kalimuendo, 29, hit 12 goals in 32 league games on loan at Lens last season.

A product of the PSG academy, Kalimuendo may now have to leave to become a first-team star – just as Christopher Nkunku and Moussa Diaby have in recent times.

That could play right into Leeds’ hands, but this won’t be an easy deal to complete with Kalimuendo a wanted man.
