Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo and have now offered £17million to sign the Paris Saint-Germain attacker this summer.
The Whites have enjoyed a busy start to the summer transfer window, signing Red Bull Salzburg duo Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen.
Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca is expected to join this week and there could now be a striker on the way in.
Patrick Bamford’s injury problems were well-documented last season and it’s key that Leeds find another source of goals.
Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo
With that in mind, Leeds have now made their move for Paris Saint-Germain talent Kalimuendo.
The Independent report that Leeds have offered €20million (£17million) to sign Kalimuendo this summer.
PSG are open to letting Kalimuendo but want a number of clauses included in the deal – one of which is a buy-back clause.
That would allow Kalimuendo to return to Paris with the Ligue 1 champions seemingly predicting a big future for the striker.
Leeds will hope to bring Kalimuendo to Elland Road but they face competition for his signature.

Newcastle United reportedly opened talks to sign Kalimuendo back in April and remain keen according to Foot Mercato this week.
That report added that Kalimuendo had snubbed a move to Nottingham Forest.
Kalimuendo has spent the last two seasons on loan at RC Lens, excelling there with 21 goals in 65 games.
The 20-year-old looks to be a real talent for the future, but just isn’t going to break into the PSG side right now.
France Under-21 boss Sylvain Ripoll is a huge fan of Kalimuendo and called him a ‘complete player’ having developed rapidly at Lens.
The hope is that Kalimuendo will now trade Paris for West Yorkshire and hopefully be more successful than another attacker who came through at PSG in Jean-Kevin Augustin.
