Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo and are now ramping up their interest in signing the Paris Saint-Germain striker this summer.
The Whites have just agreed to sell Raphinha to Barcelona and will now be looking to reinvest that huge sum of cash.
The priority has to be a striker with Patrick Bamford in need of more competition and cover after an injury-hit season.
Joe Gelhardt remains a hugely exciting talent but Leeds will want another goalscoring threat heading into the new season.
Leeds United want Arnaud Kalimuendo
One of the key targets has been Paris Saint-Germain talent Kalimuendo.
Reports from Independent in June suggested that Leeds had made a £17million bid for Kalimuendo.
Things went a little quiet though as PSG made changes of their own, bringing in Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier as their new sporting director and manager respectively.
Leeds are still in the hunt for Kalimuendo though and the Daily Mail claim that the Whites are now stepping up their pursuit of the striker.
L’Equipe add that Leeds have accelerated talks for Kalimuendo and are now closing in on a deal worth around €25million (£21million).

That deal would be made up of £18.5million up front and £2.5million in add-ons, whilst claims in France suggest that Newcastle made a bid for Kalimuendo earlier this week.
Kalimuendo has excelled on loan at Lens for the last two seasons, hitting 21 goals in 65 games across all competitions.
The 20-year-old striker has been hailed as a ‘complete player’ by France Under-21 boss Sylvain Ripoll, and that’s a hugely exciting verdict for Leeds fans to hear.
Kalimuendo is still young and a little raw but he’s dangerous and exciting.
Leaving PSG is far from the end for a young player; just look at how Christopher Nkunku and Moussa Diaby have excelled in Germany.
That’s what Leeds will be hoping to see out of Kalimuendo if he does complete his move, whilst beating Newcastle to a deal is another sign of the pull Leeds hold.
