Leeds United have added one of Barcelona’s most talented youngsters to their ranks and their recent recruitment drive hints at exciting times.
While Leeds United have made great strides strengthening their senior side this summer, they have also been very busy signing a number of exciting young prospects.
The pick of the bunch is undoubtedly Kun Temenuzhkov – a 17-year-old set to move from Barcelona to Elland Road this summer according to Novsport – and along with Ousama Sidiki, Adrian Balboa and Alejandro Machuca he should ensure Leeds’ under-23s do not suffer another poor campaign like last time out.

With Madger Gomes impressing during pre-season, despite being bought to initially continue his development in the second string, and big things expected of Paudie O’Connor and Mallik Wilks, Leeds suddenly have a group worthy of plenty of Premier League sides’ next generation.
Sidiki’s arrival from Real Madrid and Temenuzhkov opting to end his contract with Barcelona for a stint at Leeds speaks volumes, and while plenty of young players have come through the ranks at Leeds in recent years the academy did appear to be faltering prior to Ivan Bravo’s arrival.
Leeds will be aiming to finally win promotion back to the top flight in 2018 but they will know that getting there is just the beginning.
While signing ready-made solutions is always going to happen, Leeds will want to build a legacy, and ensuring their under-23 side is stocked full of talent is the perfect way to achieve just that.
