Leeds United are closing in on Arsenal goalkeeper.

Leeds United are set to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, according to Argentina AS.
And Leeds fans should be highly encouraged in the potential addition, with words from Arsene Wenger himself underlining the goalkeeper’s talent.
Martinez has previously starred in the Champions League for the Gunners and performed well, and has spent the first half of this season on loan at Getafe.

Leeds are expected to sign him on loan, with Arsene Wenger very reluctant to lose him permanently.
Wenger was quoted in The Metro last year stating: “I have three world-class goalkeepers and I am very happy with the three I have.
“He’s a player with, first of all, top quality. Basic qualities for a goalkeeper, he has the size, the power, the technical level because he has worked with us for a long time now.
“But as well he has that kind of mental confidence and security that he gives out when he’s in goal that makes you think ‘it’s normal that I’m in goal, it’s normal that I’m here. I’m not intermittent; I’m here to stay here. He gives a kind of security that’s very positive.”

Martinez has the ability to win the number one spot at Leeds from Felix Wiedwald, who has had a couple of high profile clangers since joining the Whites from Werder Bremen.
The Argentine will replace veteran Andy Lonergan, who is being pushed to the exit after an underwhelming return to the club in the summer.
