Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Hadi Sacko, converting the winger’s loan move to a permanent one.

The club made the announcement on Twitter this morning.

France Football reported the fee is in the region of £2 million.

Sacko signed last July on a season long loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

He impressed and frustrated in equal measure, with his pace and trickery let down by his decision making and delivery.

Sacko made 28 starts last season and 10 substitute appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

He was more productive in the first half of the season, with injury and added competition in the second half limited his opportunities.

Still just 23-years-old, Sacko has excellent potential and if he can build on his assets with the right coaching then he could yet develop into an outstanding player.

Leeds are yet to make an announcement regarding their next manager, with Garry Monk resigning as head coach last week.
