The 27-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Baggies lost 1-0.
The former Arsenal prospect joined West Brom from Swansea City in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4 million.
Bartley spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Leeds from Swansea and played well during his spell at Elland Road.
According to The Scottish Sun, Leeds wanted to sign the central defender from the Swans in the summer transfer window.
