Bannan featured for Wednesday in their Championship match against Leeds at the Hillsborough Stadium.
The 28-year-old midfielder – who had a loan spell at Leeds from Aston Villa in 2011 – started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
