Oliveira featured for Norwich in the Championship game against Leeds away from home at Elland Road.

Sweden international central defender Pontus Jansson’s goal in the 41st minute proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Oliveira was linked with a move to Leeds in the summer transfer window, with The Yorkshire Post reporting in August 2017 that the club’s director or football, Victor Orta, looked at the Portugal international striker.

The 26-year-old striker, who spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Nottingham Forest from Benfica, has been on the books of Norwich since the summer of 2016.

Meanwhile, former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was impressed with the performance of 23-year-old attacker Pawel Cibicki and told BBC Radio Leeds during their post-match coverage of the match: “I thought he was excellent again.

“He just carried on where he finished off against QPR. Came in, used the ball well, very intelligent, worked hard up and down the line, and again another assist.”
