Leeds United are interested in re-signing Villarreal left back Alfonso Pedraza, some six years since he first arrived at Elland Road.
That’s according to Football Espana, who claim that Pedraza is attracting major interest ahead of the January window.
It’s stated that Inter Milan are also keen but Leeds are very interested in bringing Pedraza back to West Yorkshire.
The report adds that Villarreal are open to selling Pedraza in January, believing that they could bring in a decent fee for him.
Leeds continue to be linked with left back options in January with Philadelphia Union ace Kai Wagner believed to be a target.
Pedraza is the latest name touted for a move to Elland Road, and it’s one Whites fans are familiar with from the 2016-17 season.

Alfonso Pedraza has history with Leeds United
Pedraza, 26, has come up through the Villarreal ranks having first joined the club way back in 2011.
After an impressive stint with Lugo in the first half of the 2016-17 season, Leeds pounced to sign Pedraza on loan.
Leeds agreed a six-month loan with a mandatory £8.5million permanent clause if Leeds won promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds were going well under Garry Monk at the time but the signings of Pedraza and Modou Barrow couldn’t even secure a playoff place, never mind promotion.
Leeds ended up finishing seventh and Pedraza returned to Villarreal with just one goal and 14 appearances for Leeds.
Pedraza was a winger back then but has reinvented himself as a left back since then, shining for Villarreal as well as loan clubs Alaves and Real Betis.
That’s the role Leeds may now want Pedraza to play in a potential second spell with the club.
Junior Firpo hasn’t impressed in that position for Leeds and the club’s Spanish director of football will surely be aware of Pedraza.
Inter’s interest is a threat but Leeds may look to an old face to solve a very current problem.
