Leeds defender speaks out on red card.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has spoken out about the red card he received last week against Cardiff.
The centre-back admits that he cannot guarantee it will not happen again.

Cooper is on international duty with Scotland and is hoping to make his first appearance for his country.
The defender told The Scotsman: “What happened at Cardiff was very sloppy on my behalf. I’d like to say it won’t happen again but we all know the game and there’s a possibility it could. It was sloppy from me but we move on.
“We’ve had a couple of bad results over the past couple of weeks but the Championship is a tough league and we’ll be doing all we can to put it right in the next game.”

Cooper missed out on the game against Sheffield Wednesday due to suspension.
He has captained Leeds this season but the mistake for the red card in the crucial game away to Cardiff was not a good reflection on him.
It was the second time he has been sent off this year, also dismissed in the embarrassing FA Cup defeat to Sutton.
If he is to establish himself as an international centre-back, ‘sloppy defending’ is something Cooper will have to cut out of his game.
