Leeds star Kemar Roofe has not scored in five games.

Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe is going through a testing point in his season.

Roofe has 14 goals in 26 matches in total, but just one in his last eight.

None of those have come in his last five games, and against Swansea, he dropped back from being the team’s focal point to playing as a support striker behind Patrick Bamford.

If Leeds are going to clinch promotion, they need Roofe to rediscover his scoring touch.

Roofe appears to know he is not as his best, and is determined to get right.

He sent a message on Instagram last night with the key words, ‘come back stronger’.

Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up. #comebackstronger

Roofe is too good to go too long without scoring and it will only be a matter of time before he is back on the scoresheet.

His position switch complicates it, but Marcelo Bielsa will be working on a way for Roofe and Patrick Bamford to link up.

The fact Roofe is recognising his need to kick on is a sign he is fully focused on getting back to his best.
