Once teammates at Leeds United, Kalvin Phillips and Ronaldo Vieira
Ronaldo Vieira is entering his second season at Sampdoria since leaving Leeds United.
Vieira had a tough first season in Italy since his surprise sale, making only six Serie A starts.
He has begun the 2019/20 season in the right way, being picked to start Sampdoria’s opening game against Lazio.
Unfortunately it did not end well at all, with Sampdoria losing the home game 3-0.
Vieira sent a message on Instagram expressing how gutted he was.
Leeds star Kalvin Phillips reached out to Vieira. He wrote: “My brother head up.”
Vieira and Phillips played in the Leeds side together in 2017/18 before the former’s surprise sale.
The two are on very different paths, which will perhaps cross again one day, but their bond remains strong.
