Leeds United may have lost to Liverpool in the Premier League last week, but their youngsters – including Sean McGurk – have dominated the Reds.
The Whites were swept aside last weekend, and will have been hoping for their youngsters to exert a small slice of revenge this weekend.
Leeds ended up dismantling the Reds in a thumping win.
Joe Gelhardt scored twice, including a stunning lob from the halfway line.
Amari Miller and Pascal Struijk also got themselves on the scoresheet, handing Leeds a massive 4-0 win.
Leeds talent McGurk celebrates on Instagram
This game may have meant a little more to McGurk than many others.
Winger McGurk was born in Liverpool and started in the Liverpool ranks before being let go in 2016.
McGurk started on the left and played an important role in Leeds claiming the win.
After the final whistle, McGurk took to Instagram to send a seven-word reaction; ‘3 points, how you like us now?’
After Liverpool let him go as a kid, McGurk would be forgiven for feeling pretty bold following a victory over the Reds.
McGurk receives responses
Former Wigan teammate Alfie Devine – another Liverpool-born player but now with Tottenham – responded stating ‘love it’.
Liverpool striker Layton Stewart joined in despite not playing in the game, replying stating ‘calm down a bit’.
We’re not suspecting any beef here – more just two Liverpool lads having a laugh.
Maybe one day, McGurk and Stewart will be playing senior football against each other – and bragging rights will be up for grabs again.
