Leeds United are reportedly on the verge of signing Club Brugge prospect Senne Lammens, with the 20-year-old goalkeeper in talks to join the Elland Road side.
According to HLN, the Yorkshire giants are closing in on an agreement to sign Lammens this January, with the shot-stopper’s contract with Brugge set to expire at the end of this season as Leeds look to bring in the youngster on the cheap.
Noted as an ‘exciting’ player, Lammens has been a part of Brugge’s UEFA Champions League side that this season progressed to the round of 16 and topped a group featuring the likes of FC Porto and Atletico Madrid, though the youngster is now ready for a new change in his career.
As per the report, Leeds’ interest in Lammens has been around for quite some time, with Jesse Marsch keeping tabs on the youngster ever since the summer transfer window, with a move now seemingly on the verge of being completed this January.

Indeed, with Illan Meslier Leeds’ undisputed no. 1 and the youngest starting keeper in the Premier League this season, it will take some effort from Lammens to break into the starting XI at Leeds, with 22-year-old Kristoffer Klaesson and Joel Robles also on the Whites’ books.
As a result, there’s a strong chance that Lammens or even Klaesson could be sent out on loan this January, with Marsch no doubt eager to see one of his understudies to Meslier playing regular football away from Elland Road for the remainder of the season.
Leeds singing Lammens for cheap is a great move

Leeds have made a strong start to the January transfer window with the Yorkshire side already signing Maximilian Wober from RB Salzburg and a deal for Georginio Rutter reportedly in the works, and adding Lammens on a cheap deal would be another great move.
After all, Lammens is a player valued highly by a Champions League team who have made waves this season, and the keeper signing for Leeds is a testament that the Whites are a club heading in the right direction under Marsch, who has seemingly landed another bargain.
