Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United have made a bid for Azzedine Ounahi, but the Tottenham Hotspur target does not fancy a move to Elland Road in the January transfer window, according to L’Equipe.

Tottenham target Azzedine Ounahi does not fancy Leeds United move

The French publication has claimed that Leeds have offered €25 million (£22 million) in transfer fees for Angers for Ounahi, who has been linked with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham as well.

Serie A outfit Napoli have made a verbal offer of €15 million (£13 million) for the 22-year-old midfielder, who played for Morocco at the 2022 Qatar World Cup and was described as “absolutely incredible” by AS Roma head coach Jose Mourinho in Goal in December 2022.

Spanish club Almeria are also keen on the youngster, but they will not pay more than €10 million (£9 million) for him.

L’Equipe have claimed that Ounahi is ‘not excited’ about a potential move to Leeds and does not fancy a switch to Elland Road.

Boost for Spurs

And this will come as a boost to Tottenham in their quest to bring the Morocco international midfielder to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the middle of the season.

According to La Repubblica last week, Tottenham have been in talks with Angers over Ounahi.

We covered the report here on HITC Sport,

Tottenham are a big and ambitious club who are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season and could also end up in the Premier League top four.

A move to Spurs would be more appealing to Ounahi than a transfer to a Leeds team who are fighting for survival in the Premier League.
