Leeds United would now accept a cut-price fee for the transfer of Jack Harrison in the final days of the January sales. But Jesse Marsch is set to frustrate any pursuit by Leicester City.
That is according to The Sun, which reports Leicester are exploring the transfer of Harrison from Leeds. The Foxes are keen to lure the winger from Elland Road and to the King Power Stadium. But Marsch has no interest in letting the 26-year-old leave in the winter window.
Leicester have studied Harrison’s availability as the winger is only under contract until June 2024. He is also yet to commit his future to the Whites after four-and-a-half-years with the club. Leeds paid Manchester City £11m in July 2021 after three seasons on loan at the side.

Leeds would consider offers of £20m for Harrison should Leicester accelerate their interest in his transfer this month. The former England U21 dynamo has only started in 15 of his 17 Premier League games after 18 available games. He also has just one goal and four assists.
Harrison started the season strongly with an assist in each of Leeds’ opening three fixtures. He also scored on matchday three to beat Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road after already feeding Rodrigo. But he only has an assist in a 2-2 draw with West Ham United on January 4 since.

Leeds now slash £15m off their price tag for Harrison as Leicester eye a transfer
Leeds’ now slapping a £20m price tag on Harrison might prove enticing for Leicester given their interest in a transfer. The Daily Mail had reported that the Whites wanted as much as £35m to fend off the Foxes. Brendan Rodgers’ club had expressed their interest in a move.
King Power chiefs were loath to spend as much for Harrison, who also has further Premier League and European suitors. TEAMtalk reports that Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is a fan of the £60k-a-week winger. The Daily Mail also cited the Toon’s interest back in July.
While Ben Jacobs has credited Eredivisie giants Ajax and Serie A side Atalanta with interest in Harrison’s transfer from Leeds. Although neither team is likely to make a move ahead of next Tuesday’s deadline to sign a player whom Marsch considers ‘fantastic’ for the Whites.
