Fulham have reportedly increased their offer to sign Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic, with the Cottagers firmly in the driving seat to land the rumoured Leeds United target in the coming days.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the west London side have made a new £10m bid to sign Lukic as Torino close in on the capture of Ivan Ilic, with Fulham not potentially in the clear to bring the Serbian international to the Premier League despite interest from Leeds.

CalcioMercato reported that the Whites even held talks with the 26-year-old earlier this month. However, with Jesse Marsch’s side now close to signing Weston McKennie from Juventus, Fulham swooping in to sign Lukic makes a lot of sense on paper.
Marco Silva’s side are enjoying a fairytale season in their comeback year in the Premier League, with Fulham currently sitting in a European spot and essentially safe from relegation, something many critics and supporters thought the west London side would endure given their previous record in the top-flight.
Indeed, Fulham’s spending has been key to their incredible season, and signing Lukic would be another wise move from Silva as he looks to solidify the Cottager’s top-seven spot in the standings, with Leeds potentially regretting not going in for the Serbian midfielder.
Fulham signing Lukic is one of the most sensible moves of the window

Lukic impressed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Serbia and has been a consistent performer with Torino in Serie A, and for Fulham, adding the midfielder to their already impressive squad could end up being one of the most sensible transfers of the entire January window.
After all, midfield depth is key for any club undergoing as big a challenge as finishing in a European, and with Fulham somehow in a position to do just that, signing a player like Lukic will be key to the west London side’s success, much to the dismay of Leeds at the other end of the Premier League standings.
