Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, who the Elland Road side value at £35m as the forward approaches the final 18 months of his contract.
According to the Daily Mail, the Foxes have expressed an interest in signing Harrison this January as Brendan Rodgers looks to bring in an attacker in the final week of the winter window. However, Leicester have so far struggled to recruit a new forward.
And as per the report, whilst Leicester are interested in Harrison, the King Power Stadium side are unwilling to match Leeds’ £35m asking price for Harrison, especially with the winger having just 18 months left on his current deal and his form this campaign leaving little to be desired.
Harrison hit eight goals in his last two Premier League seasons but has so far managed just one this campaign under Jesse Marsch. Yet despite this poor run of form, Leeds are seemingly unwilling to budge on their asking price for the former Manchester City talent.

Indeed, Leicester signing Harrison could be quite the challenge given how little time is left in the January transfer window. However, with the Foxes eager to bring in a winger before the closure of the market, Rodgers could soon be forced to meet Leeds’ demands for their star attacker.
Moreover, whilst Harrison has not impressed this season, the former New York City FC superstar could be exactly what Leicester are looking for to boost morale in the squad, with the winger a player who has shown he has the quality to thrive in the Premier League.
Leicester should negotiate with Leeds to sign Harrison

£35m for a player with one goal this season and with 18 months remaining on their contract is a steep price, to say the least. Which is why Leicester must be willing to open negotiations with Leeds to sign Harrison, where a better deal could possibly be made.
As we know, Leeds have spent big this January and could do with some extra funds ahead of the summer window, and selling Harrison to Leicester for a good price could be a good way to offset the books, especially with Marsch seemingly done with his business for the month.
