Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United have been told by Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United that West Ham United and Everton target Scott McTominay is not available for transfer in January, according to 90min.
Leeds United and West Ham United try for Scott McTominay
The report has claimed that Leeds, West Ham, Everton, Southampton and Leicester all are interested in signing McTominay from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the January transfer window.
All of the aforementioned clubs have asked about the £78,000-a-week midfielder (SalarySport).
And, according to the report, the Red Devils have told them all that they are not going to sanction an exit for the 26-year-old Scotland international.
Always unlikely to happen
In our view, it was always unlikely that Manchester United were going to let Scott McTominay leave in the January transfer window.
Now, of course, it is quite ambitious of the likes of Leeds and West Ham to try to sign the midfielder.

And we have to give credit to them.
However, they will surely have known that Manchester United would not let McTominay leave in the middle of a season.
McTominay has made six starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League, and has made one start and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for the Red Devils so far this season.
