Leeds top, Forest sixth: The Championship based on the last 6 games

The Championship table would look a lot different for Leeds and Forest were it based on recent form.

Leeds United top the Championship standings based on the last six games of the league season.

With just one defeat in six, Neil Redfearn’s men are the current form team in England’s second tier, having accumulated a point more than Derby County (who are on 14).

Leeds have conceded just twice in that time, which is no doubt in no small part down to the presence of January loan signing Sol Bamba.

The Yorkshire side are still low scorers, however, netting only seven times in their last six – but their remarkable defensive record leaves them top of the Championship form table on the back of their 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Boro themselves have 13 points out of a possible 18 to their name, while Norwich City and Watford complete the top five.

Other big winners, though, were the table to be spun on its head based on recent form, would be Dougie Freedman’s Nottingham Forest.

Forest would be sixth in the table based on their last six, having amassed 10 points in that time. Nottingham Forest’s recent strength boils down to the appointment of Freedman, who has won three and drawn one of his four games in charge.

Next up for Nottingham Forest is a home clash against Bournemouth on Wednesday night. Can they continue their good form at the City Ground?
