Marcelo Bielsa’s charges lost 2-0 at Griffin Park to hamper the Whites’ hopes of a Championship top-two finish.

Leeds United legend Tony Dorigo has criticised Tyler Roberts following his display in Easter Monday’s Championship defeat at Brentford.
Neal Maupay put Thomas Frank’s charges in front in the first half at Griffin Park, after the Whites had been controversially denied a penalty when Patrick Bamford was brought down by Julian Jeanvier.
The Elland Road side then conceded again just after the hour mark when Sergi Canos poked home and Marcelo Bielsa’s men could not muster a response as they slipped to three points behind second-placed Sheffield United.
Leeds United’s loss contained a sadly all-too-familiar theme this season, that of a team failing to make the most of their chances, and with just two games to go, the hopes of the Whites sealing an automatic promotion place have diminished.
Dorigo, who played for Leeds between 1991 and 1997, picking up a First Division title winner’s medal along the way, was left rueing his former team’s toothlessness in front of goal and pointed the finger at the £4million signing for his role in the loss at the Bees’ ground.

Speaking on Sky Sports (22/04, 19:31), the retired defender said: “We seem to have to create lots and lots of chances in order to score and sometimes you just want that striker to bobble one in or be very, very clinical.
“Unfortunately this season that has been the problem. These are really good chances. If you think this one (Roberts’ chance) Maupay scores just like that, knocks it out of his feet and scores. Tyler Roberts there gets it too far in front of him.”
Leeds’ final two games of the regular Championship season see them host Aston Villa in Sunday’s midday kickoff before travelling to Ipswich Town the following Sunday.
