Leeds United have enjoyed a brilliant season in the Championship, but not every player has impressed.

It is very difficult to be negative about Leeds United at the moment, with Garry Monk’s men surpassing expectations and going into the final eight games of the season on course to secure a play-off spot.

Nevertheless, not every player within Monk’s squad has given the best account of themselves this season. With that in mind, here is a look at three players who will probably be the most disappointed with their form this season…

Matt Grimes

Matt Grimes was a player that Monk had bought to Swansea, so when he signed him on loan for Leeds, it seemed like the Whites boss would have a good idea of how to get the best out of him. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. Grimes has provided glimpses of quality, but things have just not worked out. His situation has not been helped by the depth Leeds boast in the middle of the park.

Mo Barrow

It is too early to write off Mo Barrow becoming a success at Elland Road, but the early stages of his loan spell have not captured the imagination. He has the quality to make an impact, so Monk may be backing him to prove why Leeds signed him with a contribution during the final weeks of the season that helps the club in their promotion push.

Marcus Antonsson

Marcus Antonsson looked bright during his first few appearances for Leeds and arrived having been lethal during his final season at Kalmar. Unfortunately, the 4-2-3-1 system that has brought Leeds so much success does not seem to suit his style, and the sensational form of Chris Wood has certainly not helped. The play-offs may be the ideal stage for him as Monk may need to abandon his principles if Leeds desperately need a goal in the latter stages of a contest.
