Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara has told BBC Radio Leeds that he feels fitter than he ever has done during his time at Elland Road, but claimed that there is still more to come from him.
The 25-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the side since his arrival in 2014, and has only shown glimpses of the quality he truly possesses.

Unsurprisingly therefore, the Yorkshire Evening Post claimed earlier this month that his contract was unlikely to be renewed when it expires at the end of the current season.
However, he sent a message to the club’s hierarchy with the clinching goal during the Whites’ 2-0 win over Burton Albion at the weekend. The second-half substitute was the beneficiary of a counter attack and showed a tremendous amount of desire to bundle the ball home in stoppage-time.
And he suggested that the goal was evidence of the hard work that he has been putting in in recent times, before insisting that he can make further improvements.
“For the moment, yeah,” he told BBC Radio Leeds when asked if he was fitter than he has been.
“But I can do more. I can push myself to be at the best level to help the team.”
With just nine league goals in 50 appearances, it seems likely that Doukara will need to score at a considerable rate if he hopes to force his way up the pecking order and perhaps even earn a new contract.
But if his fitness does improve further in the coming months, then perhaps he will receive the amount of opportunities he needs to prove that he is deserving of a fresh deal.
