Leeds United are still receiving enquiries from clubs in Turkey interested in a transfer for Helder Costa as boss Daniel Farke bids to sell before the Super Lig window closes.
That is according to Ben Jacobs, who claims that Leeds would prefer to sell Costa than keep the 29-year-old. He has returned to Elland Road this summer following a loan spell in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad. But the forward does not have a future under Farke in West Yorkshire.
Teams in Saudi Arabia, most notably Al-Taawoun and Al-Shabab, explored the conditions for Costa’s transfer this summer. But despite Al-Taawoun speaking with his representatives and Al-Shabab contacting Leeds, neither club struck a deal before the Pro League market ended.

Leeds hope to sell Costa before the Turkish transfer window closes
Now, Leeds hope that a side from Turkey will present a sufficiently enticing deal to get rid of Costa. The Super Lig sales will slam shut on September 15. So, the Elland Road natives only have a matter of days to structure a deal that sees the Angola international leave the team.
There is a possibility that Costa leaves Leeds in the next week. But no deal is currently close to being finalised. The Turkish teams who approached the Whites are also yet to show truly concrete interest. While Costa opting to stay until January cannot entirely be ruled out yet.
Costa has not played at Elland Road for over two years

Costa has not played at Elland Road since August 2021 after joining Valencia on loan for the 2021/22 season. He featured 27 times during the winger’s spell at the Mestalla. But a move to Al-Ittihad followed for 22/23, where he played 20 games for just three goals and an assist.
Now, Leeds hope Costa agrees to a transfer to Turkey over running down the final year of his contract. The Whites afforded the forward a four-year deal when he joined in a £16m move from Wolves in July 2020. Marcelo Bielsa bought him after helping claim promotion on loan.
But the demands of Premier League football saw Costa struggle to justify Leeds’ decision to secure his permanent transfer. Now, the Whites are desperate to offload an attacker David Edwards called a ‘top, top player’ at Molineux. Costa has just eight goals in 71 Leeds games.
