Leeds still in with a shot at Harry Wilson based on recent rumours

Leeds United are reportedly keen on Liverpool’s Harry Wilson.

Leeds United appear to be closing in on appointing Marcelo Bielsa as their new manager, and that should enable the Whites to kickstart their summer transfer business.

The Whites sacked manager Paul Heckingbottom earlier this month, and owner Andrea Radrizzani is nearing a blockbuster appointment by bringing in Argentinian legend Bielsa.

Leeds need new faces once Bielsa arrives, and the Yorkshire Evening Post recently claimed that the Whites are interested in both Harry Wilson and Matej Vydra.

It’s claimed that Derby County would want £10million for 21-goal forward Vydra, and with Leeds still pursuing that deal, Bielsa should have plenty of money to spend this summer.

Earlier this week, The Mirror claimed that Fulham and Huddersfield Town are both keen to land Liverpool wide man Wilson, with a fee of around £7million suggested.

If Leeds are able to challenge for Vydra at £10million, then they can certainly find the money to battle for Wilson’s signature, though it won’t be an easy fight against two Premier League clubs.

Huddersfield did just bring in one winger in Ramadan Sobhi, meaning Leeds can at least use the angle that Wilson would be guaranteed regular playing time if he joined the Whites and aided their promotion push.

Having starred on loan with Hull with seven goals and three assists in 13 appearances, Wilson would be a major coup for Leeds – and given the rumours of a big-money pursuit for Vydra, Leeds must stay in the hunt for Wilson, even if it means fighting two top flight clubs.
