Borthwick-Jackson arrived as an established professional from Manchester United in August 2017, but Leeds terminated his season-long loan four months early after making just one Championship appearance from August until January.
Many Orta recruits from the summer of 2017 didn’t make any league appearances at all last season, but they weren’t signed to be involved in Thomas Christiansen’s senior squad. The 21-year-old was.

Time will tell whether the young marksman fulfills his potential and winds up being a big player for Leeds, but all he needs is two Championship appearances to be twice as successful as Borthwick-Jackson was in West Yorkshire.
