Leeds United conceded a late goal against Fulham last night to draw 1-1 at Craven Cottage.
Leeds had midfielder Kalvin Phillips sent off minutes earlier for a second yellow card, and could not close out the game.
Defender Liam Cooper commented after the game on Twitter, admitting that the result could be spun into a ‘point gained’, but the overriding feeling among the players was a negative one after the late setback.
His sentiments were echoed by attacker Alfonso Pedraza, who had a chance to kill off the game when Leeds were one up.
Fulham are pushing the teams in the play-off positions and Leeds missed a chance to pull clear, but they at least did not allow them to gain.
Reading in fifth and Sheffield Wednesdsay in sixth both also recorded draws meaning the two points lost was not too devastating for Garry Monk’s side, but it was somewhat of an opportunity missed.
