Jesse Marsch took charge of Leeds United for the first time this weekend, yet the American coach was unable to prevent the Whites from losing to Leicester City.
The Elland Road side are now winless in their last seven Premier League matches, with the magnitude of Marsch’s job laid bare as Leeds impressed but were unable to win against the Foxes, with Pascal Struijk taking to Twitter to post his disappointment.

The 22-year-old defender was given the nod in the backline, yet despite an impressive performance from Struijk, the Netherlands youth international was unable to deny Leicester and Harvey Barnes from punishing Leeds at the King Power Stadium.
Indeed, the youngster’s simple five-word Twitter message summed up the general mood around Leeds, with Marsch leading the club at full-time to a post-match huddle that supporters at Leicester’s ground were big fans of.
The result was far from what Leeds wanted, and with both Newcastle United and Brentford winning as well, a small gap is starting to appear between those escaping the relegation battle and the ones in the midst of the scrap.
Whilst the performance was impressive, to come away from Leicester with nothing will hurt Leeds, only adding to Marsch’s problems at the club ahead of what is to be a ginormous project for the former Bundesliga coach.
Leeds can take plenty of positives despite defeat to Leicester

An instant reaction was expected from Leeds fans and pundits if Marsch is to save the club from relegation back down to the Championship, and whilst the result was not what supporters expected, there was a lot in the performance to inject optimism in the remaining games of the season.
Leicester are always a tough match for most clubs in the Premier League, and with Leeds dominating most of the fixture, Marsch can take these positives into the upcoming fixtures for the Yorkshire side.
