Leeds ace wants Liverpool switch, but they want Fulham kid instead.

Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor faces an uphill battle to clinch his dream move to Liverpool.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported last month that Taylor is dreaming of clinching a move to the Reds when his Leeds contract expires this June.

The left-back though is not Liverpool’s favoured option, with The Mail reporting last night that Jurgen Klopp’s side are to push strongly to sign Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon instead.

Sessegnon, 16, has made a tremendous impact for Fulham this season and there is set to be a scramble for his services this summer.

Liverpool need a left-back much more than any other side in the Premier League’s top six, and their desire to land Sessegnon is understandable.

This of course leaves Charlie Taylor in a quandry. He will get offers this summer, that is clear, but Liverpool is his only realistic shot of landing a contract with a top six club.

If he cannot land his preferred option, then does he want to move to a bottom half side like Crystal Palace or Burnley, or could he elect to stay with Leeds United?
