The Leeds United midfielder is not influencing games as he should this season.

Much has been made of Leeds United’s lack of goals from midfield and a subsequent over reliance on Chris Wood, but is one Whites player in particular failing to make the most of those around him?
Liam Bridcutt has come in for plenty of criticism in recent weeks, some of which has been justified, but is the Scottish midfielder struggling as a result of his own deficiencies or due to constraints set by his manager?
Bridcutt is sitting far too deep in the Leeds midfield, rendering him all but obsolete in the final third and putting additional pressure on the remaining midfielders to take up the attacking strain.
The problem is, Leeds have two of the finest ball-playing centre-backs in the Championship in the form of Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley, so why on earth is their skipper sitting that deep?
Leeds boss Garry Monk needs to show more faith in his back-line and push Bridcutt further forward, allowing the former Sunderland man to be far more of a creative catalyst.
Leeds look on course for a top-six finish come May, but they will need more attacking intent from their midfield if they are to triumph in the play-offs and ultimately take their place in the top flight after far too long away.
