Leeds United will likely have to replace Charlie Taylor this summer, so perhaps the West Bromwich Albion defender may be a smart target to consider.

With Leeds’ promotion hopes now dashed, the club can turn their attention to the summer and begin to make plans for how they are going to go one step further next term.
One issue they will surely need to address this summer is who they can bring in should Charlie Taylor leave Elland Road when his contract expires in the coming months.
While Gaetano Berardi has looked solid when deployed on the left and Tyler Denton can provide some cover, Garry Monk would surely be wise to go out and sign another left-back before the new season.
And luckily for Leeds, a recent report from the Express and Star has suggested that a very appealing option is about to come onto the market.
Brighton’s Sebastien Pocognoli celebrates after the match
According to the Express and Star, West Brom defender Sebastian Pocognoli will be released by the Baggies at the end of the season, having largely struggled to make an impact at the Hawthorns.
Though Pocognoli has struggled to make an impression for Tony Pulis’ men, he has shown this season that he can certainly do well in the Championship, having been a part of the Brighton side that has secured promotion to the Premier League.

If Brighton decide against trying to seek a permanent deal – they are reportedly undecided currently – then Leeds surely have to be ready to make a move if Taylor does indeed move on.
And by signing him on a free transfer, the Whites will be able to spend more money on addressing other problem areas within the squad but will still be confident that they have the kind of depth at left-back that could be extremely important next term.
